A pack of eight notecards with two Japanese designs. Illustrated with Katsushika Hokusai’s ‘Lesser Cuckoos and Azaleas’ and Tsukioka Yoshitoshi’s ‘Sumida River - The Ancient Story of Umewaka’ The set includes four cards featuring each design.
Hokusai (1760-1849) and Yoshitoshi (1839-1892) are two masters of Japanese woodblock printmaking. ‘Lesser Cuckoo and Azaleas’ was produced around 1828 and forms part of Hokusai’s 'Small Flowers' series of prints. Yoshitoshi’s ‘Sumida River’ print was produced around 1883 and shows his characteristic style.
