Iconic Japanese woodblock prints to send as postcards to family and friends. The 100 designs come in a beautiful wooden box and are curated from the collection at the V&A. Suitable for any connoisseur of ukiyo-e.
Woodblock printing in Japan used water-based inks which were vividly coloured, and popularised during the Edo Period (1603-1868). The postcards in this collection reflect the artistic ukiyo-e subjects of beautiful women, sumo wrestlers and kabuki actors, folk tales and travel scenes of that era.
